Fairy tales are a great way to create an
alternative world where we have scope to analyze our world's system.
It always provides space to judge the normal with the chaos infused
to have an alternate viewpoint. Domenico Corna in 'Wood of Plane'
craftily created a fairy world to introduce a new world where
reality is different. In this novel, we see how the author imagines
a world before the great bang after which all the ancient souls
shattered to different dimensions. Some of them came to Earth too
and lived among us. To escape our world's chaos and routined life
with their world's old memories and knowledge they must attain a
free soul. But that isn't easy to achieve as they need all the old
souls to gather to return back. So David and Laura will create a
fairy tale world to gather all the old friends in the Wood of Plane,
that they call House. But not only old souls there are some from
earth too who search for new meaning of life with a new reality.
With stunning prose and beautiful language,
Domenico Corna finds the meaning of life in this philosophical fairy
tale novel. With alternative world creation, the author searches for
knowledge that the human mind desires. Spiritual questions,
loneliness, and despair all come together with the fantastic
plotline. The author with a commendable narrative style created a
melancholy atmosphere where he merged various timelines. The
character sketching is great to build such a unique theme. Side
characters along with central ones all have motives in the story and
that makes it great. With amazing world-building that suits the
plot, the author grips the reader to the last page of the novel. The
supernatural abilities and system are top-notch to hook the reader.
This work is an eternal love story with a human search for meaning
in life and desire. I have enjoyed the novel for the amazing feats
it has achieved in a single work. Surely a five-star read from me
and would recommend it to any sci-fi and fairy tale fan who loves a
deeper philosophical touch.
