Part 2
The explicit request to participate in the new
world came in her adulthood, announced by strange nightly dreams.
Sometimes she saw her at a station waiting for the train. Sometimes
she was at the controls of an airplane, trying to figure out how to
fly it. The plane was about to crash. She’d wake up every time. For
a long time, she thought it was some kind of persecution, but dreams
like that were multiplying and, over time, when she’d wake up while
falling, she wasn’t afraid anymore. She understood how the tension
of the nightmare was triggered in order to remember the dream
itself.
One night, before a nightmare, she had a
rather peculiar dream filled with emotional tension. She was a
little girl sitting at a little table in her grandfather’s old
restaurant, talking about fairy tales and strange worlds with a
gentleman. Smiling, he was telling her that he had kept his promise
to prepare for her the way to enter their world, and he was asking
if she still wanted to reach him. She smiled and looked at him
happily.
When she woke up, it was like she was still
dreaming. She sat on the bed and remembered what had long been
hidden. A wave of sweetness pervaded her. The days of fairy tales
were long gone, but she remembered very well how happy she was. She
responded positively to the request and, that morning, began her
long journey back Home.
