Part 2
Slowly the memories began to come back and,
for each of them, a smile was born. She was not an inhabitant of
this world. It had happened a long time ago when Trill discovered
her on Earth, guarding her until the right time had come for her to
take the difficult path to obtain the first generation and,
consequently, the entrance to the new world.
In her journey she also met Jill and
Martina—inhabitants of that world. She had helped them to reach the
first generation.
When she had returned from her journey, she
had begun a new life as a child—a new daughter of this world; people
had welcomed her as a particular and precious fruit—an announcement
of a different future.
Marì felt watched and spied while, discreetly,
each of the inhabitants helped her get used to the new customs.
But what made her feel like a real resident
was her friendship with Martina and Jill. From that moment they had
become inseparable friends playing and increasing their skills in
building with fantasy. So she had spent the first generation—her
childhood.
Every learning of habits became a game, at the
end of which, without realizing it, she acquired the necessary
familiarity to live among people so different. In the thousand
games, built by her friends, they created imaginary worlds,
scenarios and lives to be born and grow; new planets that, one day,
they promised themselves to visit.
