She needed a few moments after opening her
eyes to realize that she was no longer on a bench in the humid night
of her city but on the shore of a transparent pond with banks full
of moss and small shrubs that seemed to rise from its depth.
The gaze remained fixed in the water that
reflected the image of an unknown girl. Doubtful, she brushed her
long hair and every part of her body to realize it was not another
person.
“You will have to sit on the big stone for a
few more moments in order to check if your journey is over” It was
the voice of Bill, who also moved from the humidity of the city
night.
She wanted to ask him a thousand questions,
but for the moment she nodded, sitting facing the pond.
The water began to move in a vortex as if a
powerful reel was forming in its depths. Suddenly a big wave came
off the surface to hit the girl. She didn’t even have time to turn
her head away; for a few moments, she found herself submerged.
“Damn!” she sighed, trying to take the water
off her.
