“Come, it’s fine you are here today. You need to talk to my wife. We are concerned about Kir.”
He led him straight to his wife, who explained the situation. “Kir is deeply depressed. She doesn’t want to leave the house anymore. She says she wants to abandon everything.”
“What does she want to leave behind?” Alex asked, unable to understand.
The lady smiled. “We often express ourselves with statements hard to understand for anyone else. We are convinced there is a very precise design about our lives and it’s our duty to obey it because otherwise many souls would suffer.”
Alex nodded even though he could not fully understand her speech.
“But there are limitations and constraints on those like us. Often we are not allowed to have deep affections and children just so as not to create problems.”
Alex couldn’t understand it another time. The old lady had a husband and affections.
“I know,” the lady replied, understanding his doubts. “but we are not talking about me now. My job is very different from hers. I was lucky, but she wasn’t. Her path seems to be a lot more complicated than mine. She is excluded from any kind of important affection.”
“But for what reason?” Alex asked astonished.
“I don’t know. She doesn’t know either. She cannot know the duties imposed by her path and this makes her angry when she feels powerless and unjust. That is why she has decided to leave her way and, for fear of being involved in some way, is locked in her house in the dark, kicking out anyone who wants to get close .”
“I don’t understand.” Alex interrupted her. “Why doesn’t she leave home and do everything she can find—a boyfriend and friends?”
“It’s not that simple for us.” the woman continued. “It is terrible and depressing to find out how the people you think you have an important relationship with, as if by magic, go inexplicably away without any possibility of detaining them.”
Alex made great efforts to understand. The woman smiled in amazement.
“So you don’t know anything about all these mental situations I’m talking about?”
Alex shook his head.
“Better,” the woman said. “you will certainly be more credible.”
The woman opened the door, called a boy sitting next who immediately got up and went to get the car to take him to Kir’s house.
The lady nodded, she took his arm. “Remember! The decisive solutions happen in silence and in the shadows. There is no noise and turmoil when a spirit decides to heal.”
