Part 2
“Aurelius is an agent whose strategic position
is very important,” Kimberly confided as she escorted Pawny down the
corridor and then entered an armored elevator.
The courtyard to which she had access to the
house had astonished her. It was crowded by people she never wanted
to meet walking at dusk through the streets of the city.
Pawny wondered what was the meaning of an
elevator to a single-story house.
The woman continued to speak as the elevator
slowly descended to the invisible fourth basement floor. “If he
contacted you in a rather unusual way, the situation must be very
dangerous. We need to act with reflection, but also quickly.”
The woman read and reread the message
delivered by Pawny. Sometimes she raised her head looking at the
girl.
Leaving the elevator they entered a long
illuminated corridor with many doors on the sides until they reached
the end where they entered a large hall. She was seated at an old
table.
She had imagined the executive center
consisting of a large room with many secret gadgets, flags and maps
hanging from the mutes. Instead, looking around, she noticed a bare
and unclean environment. If it had been her apartment she would
certainly have painted the walls to make them presentable.
Four people entered the room saying goodbye
to Kimberly. Their attitude was serious and strutting. They read the
message brought by Pawny and looked at each other nodding.
