Von Reuss arrived on time in the morning in an
anonymous car, similar to all the others in transit in the country.
“I know,” the man explained, smiling. “It can’t be compared to one of yours, but I can vouch for its efficiency. You’ll get to Warsaw safely.”
Pawny looked around and then went up to the driver’s seat.
“There aren’t as many commands as there are with yours but it’s not complicated to conduct,” added the man.
Pawny nodded, smiling.
“You will meet many military and checkpoints on the road. Don’t be afraid. On the contrary, in case of need they will be ready to carry out their duty helping you to get to the goal without problems.”
Pawny nodded and started the car.
“Remember,” Von Reuss continued. “Try to get back alive. Annemarie wouldn’t forgive me this time. Be strong and don’t show fear when you go to the general. He knows how to appreciate brave people. For the rest, make the best decisions to successfully accomplish your mission.”
The man moved to the side and greeted Pawny standing at attention. “Have a safe journey!”
